Jamaica Hiking

Great hiking trails await you on the east side of Jamaica. Here are some suggestions.

Jamaica Hiking: Slave Quarters

Hike to an abandon slave quarters, located in St. Thomas Parish, close to Mokko's and on the way to the Rasta Family's house. It was made by the hands of slaves out of white lime and cow shit, mixed with water brought from a nearby stream. All of the rocks are from the surrounding area.

Hiking in Jamaica | Rasta Family

If you go hiking from Mokko's toward Bath, in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, past the abandon slave quarters, you will come the Rasta family's house.

Nathan and Sandra are hillside farmers. Nathan will delight in teaching you Rasta knowlege and organic farming techniques. He loves to teach! You may be able to set up a day to work on the farm and learn/experience in a hands on manner.
