There is a traditional cassava bread called bammy that is made and sold in communities. This tradition is being resurrected after almost dying out when wheat and white bread was introduced to the island. This threatened the livelihood of cassava farmers. Owen cooks the most wonderful meals, so last visit we asked if we could watch him cook and glean some hints from him. He most gratiously granted our request. This was one of the best cooking lesson vacations!
