Jamaican Green Plantin Porriage: Ital Recipe

  • Grate green plantin into a bowl and cover with water
  • Boil small amount of water and add plantin mixture to it. Cook a likkle while.
  • Prepare your coconut juice by grating coconut into a bowl, cover with water and squeeze the grated coconut with your hands. You then squeeze and remove the coconut, feed it to the chickens, then drain the juice through a sieve.
  • Add coconut juice to plantin mix.
  • Add milk or cream.
  • Season to taste with nutmeg, vanilla and sugar.
  • Cool in calabash and serve.
